  • Langston

    Langston guides generative programs and community partnerships that center Black art, artists and audiences and honor the ongoing legacy of Seattle’s Black Central Area. Langston was established in 2016 to lead programming within the historic Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute. We support a variety of enriching programs, across multiple disciplines, rooted in our mission and values. Langston was conceived and designed by community members to serve as strong stewardship for this African American arts and cultural hub in Seattle.

    ADC Consulting is a boutique arts consultancy firm equipping mission-driven organizations to create long-term cultural impact through research, grant making, advocacy, project management, and organizational change.

    ADC Consulting acknowledges the role that white supremacy and systems of oppression play in the problems we aim to solve—providing tools to identify those roots and creating solutions that move our clients towards justice in their work and outcomes.

  • Urban Native Education Alliance (UNEA)

    During the 2022 – 2023 school year, students will have the opportunity to choose between two courses:

    American Indian Art and Culture (partnership with Yellow Wood Academy)

    AI Art and Culture

    Both courses meet the credit for OSPI & Common Core State Standards for Fine Arts. Students can earn 0.5 high school credit for the course, fulfilling Fine Arts elective graduation requirements. Students can enroll for the first or second semester or the entirety of the academic year.

  • Shattered Glass Project

    The Shattered Glass Project is a theatre company with the mission to amplify the voices of theatre artists who have been marginalized on the basis of their gender or sex, including but not limited to cis and trans women, non-binary folks, and trans-masculine/trans-feminine folks, by providing unique opportunities to create and grow professionally.

    Our vision expresses our aspirations and our beliefs. As individuals and as an organization we strive to constantly learn and grow, recognizing that this is an process that is never done but is on-going.

  • GenPRIDE


    GenPride and Community Roots Housing are building Seattle’s first affordable housing project designed to be an affirming environment for LGBTQIA+ seniors. The project will provide 118 apartments, with a mix of studios and 1-bedroom units – as well as a community and health services center.

    Our capital campaign seeks to support the purchase and build out of the 4,400 sq. ft. community space, the first of its kind in our community, and the first permanent home for GenPride’s mission. Funds raised through the campaign will support construction of a brand-new community and health services center as well as a transitional fund to prepare the center for the future.

  • Muslim Association of Puget Sound

    The Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS) started in 2006 with the intent of fostering a thriving community based on Muslim values like spirituality, service, humility, modesty, knowledge, family, unity, harmony, justice, and creating a better society. Since then, they’ve grown to become the largest Islamic center in the State of Washington, with a diverse community of more than 5,000 families from over 50 countries. They provide a social hub to build relationships between Muslim individuals, families, and organizations.

  • Miss Indian Northwest Pageant

    Established in 1969, the Miss Indian Northwest pageant is the oldest Native American pageant to represent all Pacific Northwest tribes. Miss Indian Northwest serves as a role model to young and old, helps to educate and demonstrate the grace, beauty and diversity of Native American Culture, and represent the “Miss Indian Northwest Program” throughout her travels across the Northwest.

    Hummingbird Indigenous Family Services

    HIFS serves new mothers/birthing people and families in the Seattle Indigenous community. We provide doula training, birth and early childhood support, and maintain strong ties to our heritage and people. We believe that with childbirth education and post-partum support, healthy mothers and babies are the pillars of our communal wellbeing.

    Young Women Empowered

    Young Women Empowered (Y-WE) was born out of the enthusiasm and determination of the young women we serve. Y-WE provides a community of belonging for young women* during this stage of life when they are moving toward adulthood, identifying college and career interests, and exploring ways to take action as community change makers. Y-WE is committed to creating a community of belonging as we center young women of color and marginalized youth in all of our work. Y-WE is majority women-of-color-led, and we excel at creating meaningful engagement through culturally relevant programs supported by committed mentors.

    Resilient In Sustaining Empowerment provides vital support for marginalized communities directly impacted by gun violence; vulnerable children; mothers and families. RISE provides tools to assist in trauma recovery, healing-centered engagement, positive identity, professional development, and grief support for families impacted by gun violence.

  • Freakout Festival '24

    Freakout Festival is an annual music fest that celebrates all things punk, rock, and psychedelia. The Festival connects strongly with the Latin American punk underground and features veteran ad emerging acts both national and international. We’re currently transitioning into a non-profit 501(c)3 model.

  • Ignition Northwest

    Ignition Northwest is a federally recognized 501c3 nonprofit founded with the mission of fueling community through participatory arts, events, and education. We do this, in part, by working to bring the Ten Principles of Burning Man from Black Rock City to our home here in the Pacific Northwest. Our focus is on enabling people to create art by providing both grants to assist with the work, and venues where the art can be enjoyed. Ignition is both proud and humbled to be the caretakers of the official Puget Sound area’s Burning Man regional, Critical Northwest, and decompression party, Seacompression.

  • Africatown International

    Africatown International (ATI) provides essential services to people in need emphasizing support for those experiencing poverty and homelessness at an disproportionate rate. We believe in a community based integrated response to homelessness that involves working in collaboration with hundreds of King County service providers that are providing a myriad of services. This includes substance abuse treatment, mental health services, job training, employment assistance, funding for housing and utilities, childcare, and a host of other services.

  • Cultural Space Agency

    The Cultural Space Agency is a mission-driven, values-based cultural real estate development company chartered by the City of Seattle. We secure long-term affordable commercial cultural space with community partners and build community wealth through direct investment in real property. We also create opportunities for ownership of commercial cultural space, and take these actions in partnership with our rich and diverse cultural communities, with a particular focus on the needs of Black and Indigenous communities.

  • WAISN

    Our Mission is to protect and advance the power of immigrant and refugee communities through a multiracial, multilingual, and multi-faith coalition. Our organizing strategy educates and mobilizes statewide to uphold and defend the rights and dignity of all immigrants and refugees, centering the voices of impacted communities.

    WAISN is the largest immigrant-led coalition in Washington. We are a powerful, volunteer-driven network of immigrant and refugee-rights organizations and individuals distributed across the state that strives to protect, serve and strengthen communities across the state. We work to provide support, capacity, and resources to organizations’ efforts to build power and a united voice statewide.

  • Camp Ten Trees

    Camp Ten Trees is a nonprofit residential camp in Washington State. Camp Ten Trees is a place for diverse youth who share common experiences to come together and form a community that is truly their own. In addition to traditional camp activities like swimming, archery, and nature hikes, campers engage in age-appropriate workshops exploring identity, issues of oppression/privilege, youth coalition building, social justice, and more.

  • South Seattle Emerald

    South Seattle Emerald stands as Seattle’s only nonprofit, reader-supported, and community operated media and news outlet with a focus on issues facing BIPOC populations. Our volunteer and community based staff have been pivotal in the coverage of anti-racist organizations and social justice movements.

  • Essentials First

    We work to prevent illness and improve mental health, increase workforce and educational productivity, and strengthen community well-being by providing affordable access to basic hygiene products not currently available to millions of American families.

  • Seattle Universal Math Museum

    The Seattle Universal Math Museum hosts events and interactive programming both virtually as well as in libraries, schools, and venues across Seattle. We offer fun, educational programming that increases math literacy and connects math to children’s everyday lives in a way that feels like play. Ultimately, our goal is to build a permanent Seattle Universal Math Museum location.

    Chief Seattle Club

    Chief Seattle Club is dedicated to physically and spiritually supporting American Indian and Alaska Native people. At their Day Center in the Pioneer Square district of downtown Seattle, they provide food, primary health care, housing assistance, legal services, a Native art job training program, and opportunities for members to engage in cultural community-building. Chief Seattle Club envisions a future where the Native community is safe, healthy, housed, and able to celebrate their Native heritage and cultures.

There are many ways of being Human on this Earth. But no matter where we’re from or how we live, life for every being depends on clean air and pure water. Unkítawa (uhn-kéy-tawa) is the Lakota word that embodies the concept that what belongs to each of us individually, equally belongs to all living things.

    American Marriage Ministries

    AMM believes that every couple has the constitutionally protected right to enter into the institution of marriage on their own terms, which includes the right to choose who performs their wedding ceremony. In order to make marriage and its benefits available to all, AMM's online process removes the conventional barriers to ordination, eliminating mainstream churches as gatekeepers to this institution. When it comes to marriage, AMM exists to fulfill a spiritual need that other institutions are not willing to, or are unable to provide - access to marriage for all, regardless of religion, sexuality, or other defining traits.

    Four Winds Camp

    Four Winds * Westward Ho is an independent, residential summer camp for children located on Orcas Island in Washington State. Every summer, Four Winds creates a place where children are valued for who they are. They believe that a great camp is a great deal more than a place and activities, and that philosophy and community are even more important. For many generations, Four Winds campers have been riding the same trails, singing the same songs, gathering in the same places, sailing the same waters, enjoying the same sense of belonging, and sharing the same spirit of adventure.

    Hodos Institute was established in 2013 to create positive social change through the promotion of ethical and effective leadership. The Institute works in several countries of the former Soviet Union, the region now called Eurasia. They serve churches, businesses, education, and non-profit organizations by motivating and enabling them to achieve excellence in leadership.

    Refugee Artisan Initiative

    Refugee Artisan Initiative (RAI) partners with immigrant women to foster an inclusive, prosperous transition to the US through artisan skills training in small-batch manufacturing. RAI is building a community that values and invests in refugee and immigrant women as they achieve economic independence. RAI helps women utilize and improve their skills that they have already developed in their home country. They help connect the women's artisan skills with job opportunities to contribute to their family and community. In many cases, they help the women receive their first personal paycheck in the US.
